An Apprenticeship is a way for young people and adult learners to earn while they learn in a real job, gaining a real qualification and a real future. Hiring apprentices helps businesses to develop new and existing staff to meet their needs.  Check out this quick video on the benefits of hiring an apprentice…..

Why Hire An Apprentice?

Apprentices are employed and receive the national minimum wage at the apprentice rate (currently £2.73). They work for a minimum of 30 hours per week. If you employ less than 1,000 staff, you may qualify for the Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE) which provides a grant of £1,500 if you take on a new apprentice who is aged between 16 and 24.  For more information on this incentive, please click here.
